Removing a fiber-optic cable
To remove a fiber-optic cable, complete the following steps:
1. Read the information in "Handling a fiber-optic cable" on page 40.
2. Gently pull the fiber-optic cable from the SFP module that is installed in the host
3. Replace the protective caps on the end of the fiber-optic cable.

Connecting a host to a Fibre Channel RAID controller

To connect a host adapter to the Fibre Channel RAID controller, complete the
following steps:
1. Install an SFP module in a data connector on the RAID controller.
2. Connect the host-system cables to the RAID controller or to switches. Figure 36

Connecting secondary interface cables for storage management

Use the Ethernet management connector on the back of the storage subsystem to
connect the controller for management of the storage subsystem. Connect one end
of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet connector for controller A (on the left) on the
back of the storage subsystem. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an
Ethernet switch or directly into the management station. Figure 37 shows the
location of the management connector on your storage subsystem model.
