Wiring The Dryer
Complete the dryer installation by using one of
the following three instructions for your type of
electrical connection:
• 4-Wire Method (Preferred)
• 3-Wire Method (If 4-Wire Is Not Available)
on Page 2-21.
• Direct-Wire Method (Wire Ends Hooked)
on Page 2-22.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
4-Wire Method
1. Disconnect power before servicing.
2. Remove the hold-down screw and terminal
block cover.
3. Assemble a 3/4" U.L.-Listed strain relief
(U.L. marked on strain relief) into the hole
just below terminal block opening. Tighten
the strain relief screws only enough to hold
the 2 clamp sections together. Install the
power supply cord/cable through the strain
relief.
