OMR settings menu

DFC (Double Sheet Control)
menu
The "DFC settings" menu shows the following
functions (see figure below):
• select the required feeder and/or document
set on the inserter.
• set the Double Sheet Control/thickness
detection "on" or "off".
• set continue on double "on" or "off".
• set the thickness detection measurement
area (only for Inserting module).
• confirm the settings by pressing "OK" which
will get you back to the "job settings" menu.
When a job is started, the first document per
feeder is used for a reference measurement.
When a document is exceeding that reference
thickness an error will be issued. When the set
thickness is not corresponding the reference
value an error will be displayed.
When Daily mail is selected, the DFC will be
switched off automatically.
When AutoSet™ is used only DFC can be
selected for the address carrying feeder.
Thickness detection measurement area
After pressing key 5 in the "DFC settings" menu.
The following choices are available (see figure
below):
• set the position of the detection area earlier.
• set the position of the detection area later.
• confirm the settings by pressing "OK" which
will get you back to the double document
detection menu.
The standard position of the measurement area
is sufficient for a great variety of documents.
Only when using special types of documents, for
example small cards, the position of the
measurement area might be adjusted.

Exit select settings menu

The "Exit select settings" menu can be used for
the sorting of filled envelopes at the exit of the
system. The "Exit select settings" menu shows
the following choices (see figure below):
• select the exit settings (swap, batching, DFC,
OMR or off).
• confirm the settings with "OK" which will get
you back to the job settings menu.
Default "swap" is selected for a new job.
When the exit select setting "DFC" is used, the
first measured value after a testset run is used
as reference value.
