9. Connection of the ground connection
These units offer the possibility of grounding the positive or negative pole of the PV array if desired.
This section explains the process for connecting the cabling to ground the unit.
Read carefully before starting the connection process.

9.1. Safety instructions for the ground connection

Consult section "3. Safety" and the following safety instructions before working in the unit.
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before carrying out any connections. Once the
inverter is switched off, wait at least 10 minutes until internal capabilities are fully discharged.
Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by incorrect connection.
After connecting the ground wiring, do not switch on the power until you have made all other
connections and the unit has been closed.
Use the Personal Protective Equipment specified in the section "3.2. Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE)".

9.2. Wiring process for the ground connection

The unit comes from the factory without grounding. If you wish to ground one of the two poles, proceed as
indicated in the following figures:
Without ground connection (factory
default status)
In addition to the connection described, you must configure the unit using the display (see section "13.6.4.
Settings").
After making the ground connection, close the unit housing (see the figure in chapter "7.3. Opening
the housing").
The torque for the four front screws is 6 Nm.
