Troubleshooting for your interactive flat panel
Symptom
The SMART Board icon
or SMART Meeting Pro icon
is crossed out in red.
Touch interactivity is slow
or sluggish.
When you touch the screen
the pointer appears in the
wrong location.

Causes
SMART software isn't
running.
Your computer can't find
your interactive flat
panel.
Either the SMART
Board Diagnostics
window or SMART
Settings is open.
Your computer is
running too many
applications.
Your computer doesn't
meet system
requirements.
You haven't used a USB
2.0 cable to connect
your interactive flat
panel to your computer.
You aren't touching the
screen at right angles.
Your interactive flat
panel isn't orientated.
Your desktop isn't
centred on the screen.
Solution
Open the SMART Product Drivers
folder in your list of programs and then
select SMART Board Tools.
Start SMART software and then run the
SMART Connection Wizard's
troubleshooting procedures.
Close the SMART Board Diagnostics
window and the SMART Settings
panel.
Close some open applications.
Upgrade your computer or replace it
with a more powerful computer.
Use a USB 2.0 cable and ensure that it
is connected to a USB 2.0 port on your
computer.

Orientate your interactive flat
panel.Press the orientate button
the colour select module and then
follow the on-screen instructions.(For
more information, see page 51.)
Press the AUTO SET UP button on
your remote control to reset your
interactive flat panel.
OR
Press MENU on the menu control panel
and then select ADJUST > AUTO
SETUP in the on-screen display menu
using the buttons on the menu control
panel.(For more information, see page
69)
