Using guest laptops with your interactive flat panel

Connecting computer 2

You can connect a second laptop to the installed USB cable and video cable that is connected to
the back terminal panel of your interactive flat panel.If those cables aren't installed, connect the
laptop to the side terminal panel (see Connecting a guest laptop on page 43).For a diagram of the
various computer options, see Connecting computers to your interactive flat panel on page 16.
I M P O R T A N T
The laptop must have SMART Product Drivers installed. If it doesn't, you need to connect the
laptop to the interactive flat panel using a SMART GoWire cable.If you purchased an
SBID8055i-SMP or SBID8055ie-SMP model, you can use the supplied SMART GoWire cable
to connect your laptop to the interactive flat panel.For more information, see Using a
SMART GoWire cable on page 44.

To connect computer 2
1. Place the laptop beside the ends of the cables at the computer 2 connection.
2. Connect the installed USB cable to a USB port on the laptop.
3. Connect the VGA cable connector to the laptop.
4. Turn on the computer.
5. Press the VGA 2 button on the remote control.
OR
Press the Input button

To return to using computer 1
Press the VGA 1 button on the remote control.
OR
Press the Input button
