Troubleshooting for your interactive flat panel
Symptom

Use the following troubleshooting table if you can see your computer desktop on your interactive
flat panel, but you do not have touch control over the desktop.

Symptom
When you touch the screen,
no pointer appears and you
can't move icons. The
status light is red.
The SMART Meeting Pro
icon
or the
SMART Notebook icon
doesn't appear.

Solution
Turn off your interactive flat panel and leave it
turned off for as long as the image was on the
screen.
T I P
Use a screen saver to avoid persistent
images.
Press MENU on the menu control panel and
then select SETUP > FACTORY PRESET in
the on-screen display menu using the buttons on
the menu control panel.(For more information,
see page 69.)
Causes
The
SMART Product Drivers
on your computer are
not current.
No USB connection
from the computer to the
interactive flat panel.
Your USB connection
doesn't correspond with
the selected video input.
SMART Product Drivers
isn't installed.
Solution
Update your SMART Product Drivers
(see Updating SMART Product Drivers
on page 49).
Verify your connections (see page 16).
Connect the USB to the correct port
that corresponds to your computer's
video input.(For more information, see
page 16.)
Download and install SMART software
from smarttech.com/downloads.
OR
Connect your computer or laptop to
your interactive flat panel with a
SMART GoWire cable.(For more
information, see page 44.)
