To enable browser-based authentication through iPrism, you must configure each browser to use
iPrism as a proxy server.
Important: Do not do this if you are using bridge (transparent) mode.)
Configuring Firefox for Proxy Mode
Start up Firefox Version 3.x.
1.
From within Firefox, click Tools, then select Options.
2.
Select Advanced.
3.
Select the Network tab and click Settings.
4.
Select Manual proxy configuration.
5.
Type the IP address or hostname of the iPrism and default port 3128.
6.
Note: If you changed the iPrism's default proxy port, type that port number
instead.
Confirm the changes by clicking OK until you are returned to the main Firefox window.
7.
Configuring Safari (Mac OS X only) for Proxy Mode
Open Safari.
1.
Click Safari at the top of the screen.
2.
Click Preferences.
