Schedule
Day/Night System Mode - for Days of Week
Description
For the DBS 576 system to automatically switch between Day/Night System Modes (Day 1, Day 2, or
Night), you must define a schedule. This topic describes how to define three schedule patterns based
on the day of the week and the time when the switch should occur:
Pattern 1
- Weekdays (Monday-Friday),
Pattern 3
- Weekend "B" Sunday. Four mode change options are available: Day 1, Day 2, Night, or
None (no switch).
In Automatic Day/Night Mode, the System identifies the day of the week (example: Monday), and
then applies the appropriate schedule pattern to that day, unless that day has been identified as a
Special Day of the Month, a Holiday, or an Extended Holiday.
To define Special Days of the Month, in which you assign one of the three schedule patterns to a day
of the month, see "Schedule Special Days of the Month" on page 4-16. To schedule holidays, see
"Schedule Day/Night System Mode - for Holidays" on page 4-18. To schedule extended holidays,
"Schedule Night System Mode - for Extended Holidays" on page 4-23.
