With [Authentication / Security Settings], you can configure the machine's security settings.
Refer to these subsections for more information on each setting.
Steps
1.
On the [System Administrator Menu] screen, press

[Authentication / Security Settings].

Select the item you want to configure or change.
5.7.1
Specify whether to type in the password when displaying the System Administrator Menu.
We recommend that you set a password to enhance security.
When [On] is selected, the setting of "5.6.2 System Administrator's Password" (p. 124) is enabled.
When [Off] is selected, a password will not be required when users attempt to access the machine's control panel,
even when a password is specified for those settings described above.
The factory default is [Off].
Verify your System Administrator ID and password prior to turning ON the Password Entry from Control Panel
