The fields on the Edit Bonded Interface screen are:
Bond Name: The host name (in the preceding example, Bond0) can include
alphanumeric characters and the hyphen ( ) special character. It is a best practice
to use a host name with only lowercase characters; uppercase characters can cause
issues with HP StoreAll Storage system software. Do not use an underscore (_) in the
host name.
IP Address: Enter the IP address of the server on Bond0.
Netmask: The netmask (a 32-bit mask) divides an IP address into subnets and specifies
the available network hosts. This field is auto-filled with 255.255.0.0, but the
netmask entry may need to be modified, based on your specific network subnets.
Bond Options: The bond is configured with (and can operate with) default values or
you can use this field to set bond options (bond mode, mimon, and updelay mode).
For example, mode=1; mimon=100, and updelay=100. Use also any of the following
parameters:
arp_interval
arp_ip_target
lacp_rate
max_bonds
primary
use_carrier
xmit_hash_policy
Network Role: Use the field to determine whether the bond is part of a cluster or is
a user or management-related bond device.
Slave Device: Use this field to select which Ethernet port is trunked to the bond device
being created.
NOTE:
The number of bonds and the slaves for those bonds are predefined, based on
the number of networks chosen. As such, different slave devices cannot be selected.
7.
On the Configuration Summary screen, review configuration details, and then select Commit.
