CRANKSHAFT/ TRANSMISSION
Install the output gear assembly into the crankcase.
Install the set plate and 8 mm nuts.
Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
TORQUE : 21-25 N'm (2. 1- 2.5
kg-m. 15-18
ft·lb)
Bend the lock tabs up .
SHIFT FORK /SHIFT DRUM
SHIFT FORK DISASSEMB LY
Remove the outer shift forks from the shaft.
Bend the lock washer tab down and remove the
center fork mounting bolt and fork.
GEAR SHIFT DRU M AND SHIFT FOR K
INSPECTION
Inspect the shift drum end fo r scoring, scratches,
or evidence of insu ff icient lubrication. Check the
shift drum grooves for damage.
Measure the shift drum I.D .
