Shift Fork Assembly; Crankcase Bearings Replacement; Left Crankcase Bearings; Remover Handle - Honda 1984 Shadow VT700C Manual

CRANKSHAFT /TRANSMISSION
SHIFT FORK ASSEMB LY
Install the center shift fork onto the shaft.
Install the lock washer and tighten the center fork
boh.
TORQUE : 16-20 N ·m (1.6-2.0 kg-m, 12- 14 ft-Ib)
Bend the lock washer tabs up.
Install t he A.L. fork s facing as shown against the
center shift fork.
NOTE :
Make sure the oil hole in the
sh ift
fork
shaft toward the left.
CRANKCASE BEARINGS REPLACEMENT
LEFT CRANKCASE BEARINGS
Heat the left cran kcase around the mainshaft and
counter shaft bearings to
saoe
(176° F).
CAU TION :
Always wear gloves when Iwndling a hetlted
crankcase.
Remove the ma in and countershaft bearings wi t h
the following tools:
Bearing Remover, 20 mm
Remover Handle
Remover Weight

Drive a new bearing in to the left crankcase wi th the
following tools:
