EVAPORATIVE EMISSION
CONTROL SYSTEM
(After'83 : California model only)
Check all hoses to be sure they are securely connect·
ed and not kinked. Repalce any hose that shows
signs of deter iorat ion .
Check the canister fo r cracks or damage.
CARBURETOR PIPING
NOTE ;
Be careful not to bend, twist or kink the
tu bes whe n installing.
Slide the end of each tube onto its fitti ng
fully and secure with a tube band. Seeme
with the tube ctamps whenever specif ied.
Replace the tube1 with new ones
if
they
show signs of deteriorat ion or damage.
After installing t he carburetor on the
engine, check that the tubes are not con·
tact ing sharp edges or corners.
