General Programming

Keep pressing SELECT until the desired selection in Area 1 is displayed.

Keep pressing SELECT until the desired selection in the Area is displayed.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all the required entries are completed.
7.
Press STORE.
If only one system is in operation, go to step 10.
8. Press NEXT to program the Slave System.

9. Repeat steps 3 through 7, if required.
10. Press END.
Conditions
• The following units can be installed in the slots.
— C (4-Outside lines): 4-CO Line Unit
— S2 (2-ISDN lines): 2-ISDN U-point Line Unit
— S4 (4-ISDN lines): 4-ISDN U-point or S/T-point Line Unit
— S6 (6-ISDN lines): 6-ISDN U-point Line Unit
— PR (1 PRI (23 channels) line): Primary Rate Interface ISDN Unit
— T1 (1 T1 (24 channels) line): T1 Line Unit
— BD (4-DID lines): 4-DID Line Unit
— E, E1, E2 (8-Extension lines):
8-Station Line Unit or 8-Station Line Unit with SLT CID
• There are two expansion areas in the KX-TD816, areas 1 and 2 from bottom to top. One of
8-Station Line Unit or 8-Station Line Unit with SLT CID and one of 4-CO Line Unit, 2-/4-
/6-ISDN Line Unit or 4-DID Line Unit can be installed.
• There are three expansion areas in each system for the KX-TD1232, areas 1, 2 and 3 from
bottom to top. Up to two 8-Station Line Units or Extension Cards with SLT CID and one of
4-CO Line Unit, 2-/4-/6-BRI ISDN Line Unit, PRI ISDN Line Unit, T1 Line Unit or 4-DID
Line Unit can be installed.
• An out-of-service system is unassignable. In this case, skip steps 8 and 9 for the KX-
TD1232.
• For the KX-TD1232, if only the Slave System is in operation, the display shows "Slave" in
step 2.
• After changing the setting, turn the Power Switch off and on once. Otherwise, the previous
setting will remain.
