REMOVAL
• Rem ove the frame covers, seat and fuel tank .
• Drain engine oil.
SG
• Rem ove the T.O.C. inspection plug and magneto cover cap .
• Turn the crankshaft co unter clockwise to set the posit ion
at
T.D.C.
on the compress ion stroke .
• Rem ove th e chain tensioner.
• Remove the intake and ex hau st v alve inspection ca ps.
• Remove th e c ylind er head cover.
• Rem ove the ca mshaft end ca p.
• Flatten the lock w ashers and remove the camshaft sproc k-
et bol ts.
• Rem ove the sprocket and ca mshaft/auto-d ecompression
assembly _
CAUTION :
Do not attempt to disassemble the camshaft/automatic de·
compo assembly . It is not serviceable .
