• Sepa rate the inner tube from the outer tube.
CAUTION:
When separating the inner tube from the outer tube . both
antifriction metals may be damaged and must be replaced
with new ones .
• Separate the spring adjuster

by rem oving the E-ring @.
INSPECTION
DAMPER ROD RING
Inspect the dam per rod ring for wea r and dam age .
DAMPER ROD BOLT/DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTER
In spect the damper rod bolt/d amping force adju ster for
dam age or w ear.
INNER TUBE AND OUTER TUBE
In spec t th e inner tube and outer tube sliding surface s for
any scuffing or flaws.
