DTC P0115 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) CIRCUIT

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

D Low engine coolant temperature (High voltage-High resistance)

D High engine coolant temperature (Low voltage-Low resistance)

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1) Clear DTC, start engine and keep it at idle for 1 min.

2) Select "DTC" mode on scan tool and check DTC.

Before inspecting, be sure to check that cool-

ant temp. meter in combination meter indi-

cates normal operating temperature (Engine

is not overheating).

POSSIBLE CAUSE

D "Lg/R" circuit open or shorted to power

D "G" circuit open

D ECT sensor malfunction

D ECM (PCM) malfunction
