To perform a directory search:
With the handset in the cradle, press

Enter letters or numbers (up to 10 characters) as described below:

Remain in alphanumeric mode (MSG key lit): Press the keypad keys to enter
the desired characters. (Note that letters correspond to the letters printed on
keypad keys 1-9.) The number of times a key is pressed determines which
character is entered. For example, 77776444844 would enter "SMITH."
When adjoining characters are located under the same key, press
to advance to the next character. For example, 5666
enter "JONES." Press

Change to numeric mode (MSG key unlit): Press the keypad keys to enter an
extension number. Press
