By default, the switch responds to SAP GNS requests with the information of a
server that is selected in turn from all the known servers. This prevents a server
from becoming overloaded. In addition, it allows its VLAN interfaces to respond to
GNS requests.
Configuring Static IPX Service Entries Generally, you can only use the
services that are advertised by NetWare servers and saved on the switch. To make
a service always available to clients, you can manually add it into the server
information table as a static entry. If the route for the static service entry is invalid
or deleted, the broadcast of the static service entry is disabled until the switch
finds a valid route for the service entry.
