7.7 Network Setup

7.7.1 DVR Network Setup
Verifying Network Settings in a Windows 98/000/XP/Vista Environment.
) Click Windows START button.
) Click RUN and input „cmd". (In Windows Vista, you may have to enable the run command box)
3) Input „ipconfig" from COMMAND PROMPT. (In Windows Vista, you have to run this command under
Administration Mode)
4) Check IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway.
5) Type „Ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (IP address).
If you see „Request timed out" message, your DVR is not connected to the network. An IP address which failed the
Ping Test can not be used.
6) If the Ping test is successful, you will see a message illustrated below:
„Packets: Sent -4, Received – 0, Lost – 0 (0% Loss)"
