LED Flash Cadences
The user can use the above programming function keys to set up 3 different LED flash
cadences as follows:
1. Normal Operation: LED Flashes [Normally]: 500ms on, 500ms off, repeatedly. In Nor‐
mal mode, the user can make/receive a call by the Handset unit through the base unit.
2. Base In Transition Mode: LED Flash [Slowly]: 1000ms on, 1000ms off, repeatedly. In the
Transition mode, the user changes the DIP switches status. The system will wait for 5
seconds to ensure correct operation.
3. Base In Register/De‐Register Mode: LED Flash [Fast]: 125ms on, 125ms off, repeatedly.
After a user changes DIP switches status for 5 seconds, the base enters the register and/
or de‐register mode. The user can register/de‐register the Handset to the base. Both
Registration and De‐Registration must be performed within the 20‐second window in
which the LED flashes in Fast mode.
NOTE: The LED will flash fast for 20 seconds before returning to a slow flash.
Before Programming...
Prior to programming the Handsets it is recommended that you perform the deregistration
procedures described in "System Registration and Deregistration" on page 6‐1.
