Removal
Take the following steps to remove the hard disk drive. To use the server with the hard disk drive
removed, insert a dummy tray into the empty slot.
1.
Shutdown the system and press the POWER/SLEEP switch to turn off the power.
2.
Unlock the hard disk drive.
IMPORTANT:
straight from the slot so that no vibration is given.
3.
Firmly hold the additional hard disk drive and handle, then take out them.
NOTE:
the DISK Error LED of the hard disk drive is amber before starting the
removal.
Slowly and carefully take out the hard disk drive
If removing a failing hard disk drive, confirm the slot in which
