Receiving Messages

When new messages arrive, your Smartphone makes a sound to alert you and an envelope icon
appears at the top of the screen.
N O T E
You can change the sound that is played when you receive a message. For more information,
see section 4.1.
When you receive a new voice mail message, the new voice mail icon
the display. You can call your voice mail service number and listen to new voice mail messages
by pressing the Voice Mail soft key, if it is displayed, or by dialing the number.

Receiving SMS Messages

The Smartphone automatically receives SMS messages whenever it is turned on.
Importing SMS Messages from the SIM Card to Inbox
Your SIM card may have been inserted in another mobile phone. Note that any SMS messages
received when the SIM card is in an ordinary mobile phone are stored in the SIM card, but SMS
messages received when the SIM card is in your Smartphone are stored in the Inbox of your
Smartphone. You can import the SMS messages existing in the SIM card following this procedure:
1.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key and select Inbox.
2.
Press the Menu soft key and select Options.
3.
Select Import SIM Messages.
4.
Press the Done soft key. The SMS messages are copied from the SIM card to the Inbox of the
SMS account.
N O T E
You cannot export SMS messages from your Smartphone to a SIM card.
SMS messages are not removed from the SIM card after they are imported to Inbox.
When there is no more space for new SMS messages in your SIM card, then you cannot use this
SIM card to receive SMS messages in your Smartphone.
To view the space information of the SMS messages in your SIM card, press the Start soft key
on the Home screen, and select Accessories
