information, see section 12.7.
Creating a Dial-up Connection
You need to set up a dial-up connection to connect directly to the Internet or to your corporate
network.
To create a dial-up connection to the Internet:
1.
Obtain the following information from your ISP: the number to dial up, the domain name, the
user name and password.
2.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, and select Settings
3.
Press the Menu soft key and select Edit Connections.
4.
Select Dial-up Connections.
5.
Press the Menu soft key and select Add.
6.
Under Description, enter a name for the connection, such as "ISP."
7.
Under Connects to, select The Internet.
8.
Enter the appropriate information for the remaining fields, including the phone number for
dialing-up, user name and password, and domain name.
9.
Press the Done soft key three times to return to the Data Connections screen.
10.
Under Internet connection, press the Left/Right key to change to the dial-up connection you
just created, and press the Done soft key.
To create a dial-up connection to your corporate network:
1.
Obtain the following information from your corporate network administrator: the number to
dial up, the Domain name, the user name and password.
2.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, and select Settings
3.
Press the Menu soft key and select Edit Connections.
4.
Select Dial-up Connections.
5.
Press the Menu soft key and select Add.
