Using Mio Home Screen Layout
Your Smartphone provides several Mio home screen layouts for you to use.
1.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key and select Settings
2.
Under Home screen layout, press the Left/Right key to select a Mio home screen layout.
You can also press the Action key to select from the list.
3.
After your selection, press the Done soft key.
4.
Press the Home key to return to the Home screen. The change has taken effect.
Customizing the Home Screen with Your Own Image
1.
Go to where your image file is stored on your desktop computer, and the file should be saved
in .gif, .jpg, or .bmp format. For best effect, please adjust the image's size to 176x200.

Copy the image file from your desktop computer to the Storage\Application Data\Home
folder in the Smartphone using ActiveSync.
3.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key and select Settings

Scroll to Background image. Press the Left/Right key to select an image, or select from a
full list by pressing the Action key.
5.
Press the Done soft key.
Data Connections
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, and select Settings
the Data Connections setting items.
Data Connections settings enable you to set up Dial-up, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Proxy, and
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connections so you can connect to the Internet or your
corporate network. With a data connection, you can browse the Web, download e-mail, chat using
MSN® Messenger, or synchronize wirelessly with the server. Check with your service provider to
see if a data connection has already been set up for you, and if over-the-air configuration is
supported.
Creating a GPRS Connection
GPRS is a high-speed transmission through the mobile phone network, which provides permanent
on-line connection.
To use GPRS to connect to the network, you need to apply for the GPRS service with your service
provider. The available services depend on what you have applied with your service provider. Such
services are charged.
