(21) Background adjustment
Set the contrast adjustment for the background compared to the selected
scanning mode.

Call up key operator mode.
The key operator mode menu is displayed.

Press the arrow key at the bottom edge of the touch screen twice.
The third page of the key operator mode menu is displayed.

In the key operator mode menu press the [21]
adjustment
The screen for the background adjustment opens.

Select the mode for which the adjustment will apply.

Click [Light] to make the background lighter.
or
Click [Dark] to make the background darker.
or
Click [Normal] for a balanced image.

Confirm your selection by pressing [OK].

Press the [Return] key.
The key operator mode menu is displayed again.
