Ensure that the type of paper and the number of sheets meets the
specifications. For more information, see the table on page 4-31.

Use the MODE key on the finisher
control field to select the staple
option.

Load the paper to be stapled into
the cover inserter.

Align the paper edge guides.
The LED on the START/STOP key lights up green.

Press the START/STOP key to start
the staple cycle.
The loaded paper is pulled in and
stapled according to the feature you
selected.

Press the START/STOP key again to stop the procedure.
If you are using booklet mode, the incomplete booklet is left in the
stapler unit of the finisher.
