Cause
There is no Ribbon or its
identification tag cannot
be read.
The print Ribbon is either
jammed or broken.
The Ribbon identification
tag cannot be read or the
Ribbon is consumed.
The Ribbon tensions or
pretensions may be out
of range.

The Ribbon Sensor has
been properly calibrated.
The Printer was unable to
begin the printing
process.

Solution
Install a new Ribbon and press
RESUME to continue or CANCEL
to abort. If the problem persists,
call for technical assistance.
If jammed clear it according to the
steps in the Troubleshooting
section. If broken repair by taping
the Ribbon back on to the take-up
core. Press RESUME to continue
or CANCEL to abort.
Install a new Ribbon and press
RESUME to continue or CANCEL
to abort. If the problem persists,
call for technical assistance.
Check and adjust the LCD
settings. If this problem persists,
call for technical assistance.
Press RESUME to continue or
CANCEL to abort.
Reset the Printer and try again. If
this problem persists, call for
technical assistance.
Press RESUME to retry or
CANCEL to abort. If the problem
persists, call for technical
assistance.
