Adding extra EQs
The next screen following the DEQ dynamics settings is the EQ adjustment
screen associated with the DEQ, this is represented by the DEQ logo in the top
right of the display. This EQ should be set up to accomplish the dynamic EQ
characteristics as required and is permanently wired into the channel, although
its effect can be switched out with the EQ Bypass facility. However, should all
the spare EQ filters be in use elsewhere, it is possible to use this EQ without its
dynamic element by switching DEQ 'Off' in its associated dynamics screen.
Using the navipad ^ key will step through into the first 'standard' EQ, i.e.
without dynamic capabilities. Operationally these screens are identical to their
DEQ equivalent except for the indication of spare EQ filters in the top right of
the display. This is important as there are a set number of DSP filters available
in the FDS-366T that can be used for EQ duties, see 25.0 Filter Allocations for
more information.

Frequency
If the FDS-366T's configuration is MONO, all EQ's will be mono, shown by
the letter 'M' after the EQ number, e.g. "EQ2M". If configured for a stereo
mode, i.e. LHLHLH, LMHLMH or LLMMHH, EQ's will be marked as stereo
(when Stereo Link is "On") with an 'S' next to the EQ number, e.g. "EQ2S".
A contour line shows the effect of the crossover filters on this band, this is a
combined response and will show both the DEQ EQ curve and any further EQs
that are assigned in the same channel.
NOTE: The A+B sum signal is mixed after the EQ sections on A and B, so the
A+B signal is affected by A and B EQ.
To add extra EQs, an amount of cut/boost must be applied to the current EQ,
another EQ (assuming there are spare EQs) will then be inserted automatically.
Pressing the navipad ^ key will acccess the next EQ. If you press the ^ key
and the screen does not change, then you have reached the last EQ currently
in use.
