BSS has tested and developed the card filing system using an IBM compatible
PC card reader and a range of palm-top computers, but cannot guarantee that
the cards can be read by any particular piece of computer equipment.
To transfer files to and from an external computer note the following:

Format the card on the computer.
•
Write a sub-directory called BSSDATA into the root directory
immediately after formatting the card. All files used by the FDS-366T,
FDS-388 and FPC-900 remote are stored in the BSSDATA sub directory.
The FDS-366T Omnidrive is capable of reading the programs from the older
FDS-355 five channel Omnidrive with a few differences, shown below.
In RECALL mode the FDS-355 programs are listed as "5Prg" or "5All". "5Prg" is
used to load individual FDS-355 programs and "5All" loads a set of FDS-355
programs overwriting all the data in the FDS-366T in the process.
When FDS-355 programs are loaded into the FDS-366T, the five FDS-355
channels become the top five channels on the 366, i.e. outputs 2-6. This is
intended to allow most stereo FDS-355 programs with a mono sub bass to
convert to a stereo sub bass pair. After the conversions are done, channel 2
(which was previously channel 1 on the FDS-355) is copied into the new
channel 1 on the FDS-366T, i.e. channels 1 & 2 become identical.
Gain, limiter threshold and eq cut/boost dB values are all converted to the
new finer steps/incremental values on the FDS-366T. For example the eq cut/
boost values are changed from 0.5dB steps to 0.2dB steps so there may be
0.1dB changes in the values after conversion, e.g. 2.5dB becomes 2.4dB while
2.0dB would stay the same.
If the limiter was "Off" in the FDS-355 program, it stays off. If it was "On"
then the Attack and Release parameters in the FDS-366T are set to "Med"
(medium). If the Limiter Attack on the FDS-355 was set to "Fast" then the
Over (overshoot) value is set to 6dB, otherwise it will be set to 12dB.
Dynamic EQs are set to defaults, i.e. with no cut/boost applied.
