OEM Lock
"Off or "Active"
The OEM Lock mode gives the user the ability to hide selected parameters
from other users' view and prevent those parameters from being tampered
with. OEM Lock is the highest level of programmable security available to
the FDS-366T.
A password is entered by the engineer to protect the integrity of the locked
parameters, and this password is necessary to subsequently gain access to the
OEM locked parameters and to the parameter locking mechanisms.
The end user may then use the locked 'OEM 'program as a basis for operating
a system, and make further modifications to the setup, to an extent completely
controlled by the designer.
Setting up 'OEM' Locks:
1.
To activate the OEM Lock go to the Utilities, select "OEM Lock"
and turn the rotary encoder clockwise.
2.
Enter the default password, which is "BSS" for OEM Lock, by
turning the rotary encoder to change the displayed character, and
then either pressing the navipad > key or pushing the rotary
encoder to move along the password. The use of a default
password is to prevent accidental or malicious setting of lock
flags.
3.
Press STORE/ENTER to enter the default password.
4.
The "Lock Setup" screen is briefly displayed indicating to press the
STORE/ENTER key when you have finished setting up the locks.
5.
After this screen the "Lock all?" screen is displayed. This facility
allows the locking of all parameters (that are saved as part of a
program) immediately and is a good starting point if you want to
unlock only particular parameters. Equally, if you wish to
selectively lock only certain parameters leave "Lock all?" off.
6.
The screens from here on can be moved around in the usual
manner, but turning the rotary encoder will now toggle OEM Lock
on/off for the current parameter (shown by a diamond icon in
place of the current value). The word "OEM" in the top left of the
screen denotes that this is OEM Lock mode and the bottom line
prompts you to press STORE/ENTER when you have finished
setting the locks.
7.
At the 'end' of the used EQs screen, there is an option to '"Lock
Unused EQs". This option prevents any user without the correct
password from entering any further EQs onto that channel.

Once the required parameters have been locked out, the STORE/
