Audio playback via an optional
Apple™ iPod
Notes:
• The iPod™, the iPod mini™ and the
iPod photo™ are portable MP3 play-
ers from Apple, with a hard disk as
a storage medium.
• Apple, the Apple logo and iPod are
Apple Computer, Inc. trademarks,
registered in the USA and in other
countries.
Instead of a CD player you can connect
an Apple iPod MP3 player to the Cas-
cade and operate it via the Cascade.
The following Apple iPod series devices
are supported:
• iPod 3rd generation
• iPod 4th generation
• iPod mini
• iPod photo

To connect an iPod™ to the Cascade
you will need the remote kit iPod™,
which is available as an optional extra.
The remote kit iPod™ comes with con-
nection and operating instructions.
More information can be found under
www.becker.de.
Note:
If the connecting cable is attached to the
Cascade, it is not possible to attach
a CD changer or a steering wheel re-
mote control adapter.

CD changer mode

The following points, described in "CD
mode" on page 87 apply to CD changer
mode:
• "Notes on compact discs (CD)" on
page 87.
• "Notes on CD-R and CD-RWs" on
page 88.
Operational readiness of
CD changer
If a CD changer is connected to the Cas-
cade, it will be ready for operation as soon
as the CD magazine, loaded with CDs, is
inserted. Close the sliding cover after
loading. All further operation is per-
formed from the Cascade control panel.
