Compositing a Logo or Text from a Computer

With the VR-5, you can superimpose a logo or text from a computer onto the mixed video. Arrange the logo or text on a
background of a single color such as black or white, then output it from the computer to the VR-5. The process of extracting the
background color to leave only the logo or text and then superimposing it onto video is called "key compositing."

By default, you can achieve attractive compositing for a white logo or text on a black background like the one shown below.

The duration of the fade-in and fade-out for the logo or text is the duration set for transition effects. By default, the fade time is 0.5 seconds. You
can use the menus to change the time. Refer to "Menu Operations and Menu List" (p. 60), "VIDEO MIX Menu > TRANSITION SETUP > TRANSITION
TIME" (p. 63).
1.
Create the background.
Carry out video mixing to create the background image.
2.
Switch on the key-compositing feature.
Press the [KEY ON] button to make it light up.
* When [KEY ON] is dark, no compositing with the background is performed.
