Returning to the Factory-default State

This returns various settings to their factory defaults. If following the instructions for a procedure results in operation that differs
from what is described in the Owner's Manual, return the unit to its factory-default state.
Restoring the factory-default state does not return the user logo to [Roland].
1.
Display the menu.
Press the [MAIN MENU] button to access the menu screen.
2.
Access the SYSTEM menu.
Touch [SYSTEM] to access the SYSTEM menu.
3.
Return the unit to its factory-default state.
From [INITIALIZE], select [FACTORY RESET]. Touching [OK] at the confirmation screen returns the unit to its factory-default state.

4.
Go back to the original screen.
Press the [VIDEO PREVIEW] button to exit the menu screen.

Changing Between NTSC and PAL

If the signals from connected external equipment differ from the setting on the VR-5, video may not be displayed correctly.
1.
Display the menu.
Press the [MAIN MENU] button to access the menu screen.
2.
Access the SYSTEM menu.
Touch [SYSTEM] to access the SYSTEM menu.
3.
Switching Between NTSC and PAL
From [VIDEO/AUDIO], select [NTSC/PAL]. Use the [VALUE] knob to select [NTSC] or [PAL].

4.
Restart.
Switch off the power to the VR-5, then restart it. The unit starts up in the mode you selected in step 3.
