SD Card Folder Structure
SD cards used for playback on the VR-5 have the folder structure shown below. When an SD card is formatted using the VR-5, the
folder structure shown below is created automatically. For information on formatting SD cards, refer to "Formatting an SD Card"
(p. 48).
Please be aware that SD cards that do not have this structure cannot be recognized by the VR-5.

Supported File Formats for Playback
To enable playback from an SD card, save the data onto the SD card with the formats described below.
• Movies
Save MPEG-4 Visual data in AVI format or MP4 format.
Set the bit rate at 6 Mbps or lower.
Make the size 720 x 480 pixels (when set to NTSC) or 720 x 576 pixels (when set to PAL).
• Still Images
Save as uncompressed BMP or as JPG.
BMP : Keep the size no more than 2,300 x 1,725 pixels.
JPG : Keep the size no more than 3,600 x 2,700 pixels
• Audio
Save as an uncompressed WAV, or as MP3 at 128 Kbps or lower.
Only 48-kHz sampling is supported.

of formats to supported formats of the VR-5.

About Write-protect (LOCK) Feature
Sliding the write-protect switch on the side of the SD card to "LOCK" makes it impossible to write to the
card, enabling protection of the data saved on the card. When saving files or deleting data, slide the write-
protect switch to unlock the card.
