About the Remote Controller

Connecting a Dedicated Remote Controller

You can connect a dedicated digital-snake remote controller (S-4000R) to the REMOTE connector.
You can use this to adjust preamp gain and switch phantom power on and off for digital snake devices connected to the
S-4000M. The S-4000R supports control of up to 40 channels.
When the S-4000M is set to THRU mode, the REMOTE connector is inactive.

For information on the settings you can control remotely using the S-4000R, refer to the owner's manuals for the respective
digital snake devices.

Connecting a Computer

Installing dedicated remote control software on a computer and connecting it to the REMOTE connector lets you perform remote
control from the computer. As with the S-4000R, you can use this to adjust preamp gain and switch phantom power on and off for
digital snake devices connected to the S-4000M.
When the S-4000M is set to THRU mode, the REMOTE connector is inactive.
