Performing Output from the USB Port

Make sure the VR-5 is detected.
When the computer recognizes the VR-5, an icon like the ones shown below appears. The design and display location of the icon
may differ depending on the type of operating system.

Performing Output to a Computer

For the computer to correctly display and output the video and audio signals from the VR-5, software that supports USB video class and USB
audio class must be installed and set up on the computer.
1.
Enable a state allowing output of video or audio.
Operate the video mixer or audio mixer and prepare the video or audio to output to the computer.
2.
On the computer, verify the input from the VR-5.
Start the program that supports USB video class or audio class, and verify the video or audio input from the VR-5.
Output Signals
The following signals are output from the USB port on the VR-5.
• Video
720 x 480 pixels M-JPEG 9Mbps (when set to NTSC) or 720 x 576 pixels (when set to PAL)
• Audio
16-bit/48 kHz LINEAR PCM
Cautions on Streaming
When employing the USB video output from the VR-5 into a computer for streaming online, you may experience dropped video
frames, skips in the audio or stuttered streaming. If you experience these symptoms, you should check the following:
• The software you are using for streaming.
• Status of the network (available bandwidth or network congestion)
• Processing power of the connected computer
You should optimize the above elements to stream clearly/smoothly.
