If you chose the Record or Power On mode, you can set a duration. Select the Duration
option and, using the number buttons on the remote control, enter the duration (in HHMM
format).
The Timer Padding option allows you to specify the number of minutes that a recording
event should start earlier than the specified start time, and finish later than the specified
start time plus the specified duration. Press VOL

You can specify a name for the file that is recorded. With the File option selected, press OK.
An on-screen keyboard appears. Press VOL
on-screen keypad, and then press OK to select the currently highlighted letter. When you
have finished renaming the program, press EXIT to return to the Timer Event screen.
The Cycle option lets you specify how frequently you want the event to occur. The options
are One Time, Every Day and Every Week. Press VOL

bottom of the screen. Press CH ▼to highlight the days, press VOL
particular day and then press OK. You can select any number of days in the week.
6. Press EXIT to redisplay the Timer Setting screen. The timer you have just set is listed on the screen.
7. If you want to change a listed timer, select it, press OK and continue from step 5 above.
8. If you want to add another timer, press the red button and continue from step 5 above.
9. To leave the timer setting screen, press MENU. A message appears asking you if you want to
save your changes. Press OK to save your changes.
To stop a recording
1. Press
on the remote control. A list of the programs being recorded appears.
2. Press CH ▼or CH ▲ to select the program whose recording you want to stop, and press OK.

Playback

The playback feature allows you to watch files you have recorded on the hard disk. You can also
playback MP3 music files that you have copied to the SRT 5392.
The SRT 5392 offers the following playback features:

1. Press PVR to display a list of your recorded files. (If you are already in playback mode, press OK
