Wheeldrivecontrol
Refer totheAdjustment section o ftheAssembly instructions toadjust thewheel
drive control. Tofurther c heck t headjustment, proceed asfollows:
1. Withthe snowthrowertippedforward(be certainto runthe
fueltank dry beforetippingthe unitforward),removethe frame
coverunderneaththe snowthrowerby removingthe self-tapping
screws.See Figure27.

Locatethe openingbetweenthe axle supportbracketand
thefront frame support(See Figure28). Lookingthroughthis
opening,with the wheeldrivecontrol released,theremustbe
clearancebetweenthefrictionwheeland the driveplatein all
positionsof the speedselector lever.
Withthe wheeldrivecontrolengaged,the frictionwheelmust
contactthedrive plate.See Figure28.

4. If there is no frictionwheelclearance,or the frictionwheeldoes
not solidlycontactthe driveplate, re-adjustthe lock nuton the
lowerend of thedrive cablefollowingthe instructionsin the
Assemblysection.
5. Reassemble the framecover.

I. Removethe chutecrank rod from thechute crank assemblyby
removing the hair pin clip shownin Figure29. Movethechute
crank rod awayfrom the assemblyas shown.
2. Removethreeself-tapscrewson bothsides of the transmission
housingas shown in Figure29.

3. Removethe plasticbeltcover,locatednearthe engine,by remov-
ing thethree self-tappingscrewsthat secure it. See Figure30.
