bracket and remove the other bolt. Push t he belt k eeper and
bracket upoffthe engine pulley.

Auger Belt Replacement
1. Removethebow-tieclip and flat washerfrom theferrulein order
to disconnectthe augeridlerrod from the brakebracketassem-
bly. See Figure32.

2. Slip the augercontrolbelt (thefront belt) off the enginepulley.
3. Pull the brakebracketassemblytowardsthe cableguide roller
and unhookthe augercable z-fitting.See Figure33.
4. Fromboth sidesof the the frameassembly,use a 1/2" wrenchto
removethe threehex tap screwssecuringthe frameto the auger
housingassembly.Referbackto Figure29.
NOTE:Do not removethe lowerhexflangelock nuton eachside.

5. Placea blockof woodunderneath theaugerhousingas shownin
Figure34 and separate augerhousingfromtheframebytiltingthe
housingforwardand pullingup the handles.
6. Blocktheimpeller w itha pieceofwoodto prevent i tfromspinning and
usea 1/2"wrench to remove thehexscrewandflatwasherfromthe
centerofthe pulleyon theaugerhousing. S eeA in Figure 35.
7. Lift the brakebracketassemblyout of the pulleygroove(B in
Figure35) and slide the pulleyassemblyoff the postsof the auger
pulleyadapter(C) to remove the old belt.

8. Placethe newauger beltin the V-grooveof the auger pulleyand
placethe pulleyw/belt insidethebelt keepers.
Turnthe pulleyas necessary to alignits threeslotsapproximately
with thepostsof thepulleyadapter, t henpivotthe brakebracket
assemblyawayfrom the pulleygroove. Whilealigningthe pulley
slotsand adapterposts, pushtheauger pulleyfully onto the
adapter.Referto Figure35. Ensurethebrakepuck of the brake
bracketassemblyalignsand is fully seatedin the pulleygroove.
