Follow these steps to replace the Printhead.

Open the Top Cover.

2.
Replace the Printhead L with a new one if Printhead L is displayed and the Printhead R if Printhead R is displayed.
If neither left or right is indicated, replace both Printhead L and Printhead R with new ones.

Turn off the printer, wait a while, and then turn it on again.
2.
Open the Top Cover.
3.
Replace the left printhead with a new one if Printhead L is displayed and the right one if Printhead R is displayed. If
neither left or right is indicated, replace both printheads.

Basic Guide
Execute Head Posi. Adj. again, as follows.
1.
Press the OK button to clear the error.
2.
Print a test pattern to check the nozzles.
(See "Checking for Nozzle Clogging.")
3.
Clean the Printhead if the nozzles are clogged.
(See "Cleaning the Printhead.")
4.
Execute Head Posi. Adj. again.
(See "Automatic Adjustment to Straighten Lines and Colors.")
Press the OK button to clear the error.
We recommend using a type of paper that you often use, other than film, for Printhead adjustment.

Open the Top Cover and switch the Printhead used once in the right side to the right side. Switch
the Printhead used once in the left side to the left side.
Open the Top Cover. Replace the Printhead L with a new one if Printhead L is displayed and the Printhead R if
Printhead R is displayed. If neither left or right is indicated, replace both Printhead L and Printhead R with new
ones.
