Step 8: Connect and Configure Options

When there are option PCI boards or peripheral devices to connect to the main unit, power off the
main unit. Then, for connecting them, follow the instructions in "PCI board" in the separate volume
of the User's Guide and the manual of the devices.
If LAN or hard disks are added, you need to set dual configurations. For details, see
TIPS:
"Step 5: Set Dual LAN Configuration" (page 4-34) and "Step 8: Connect and Configure
Options" (page 4-46).
Specification of /PAE switch for BOOT.INI file is required when the memory size on the server is
more than 4GB. Windows system d s not use the area over 4GB if /PAE switch is not specified.
