Set MTBF Type

In this section, you can specify operations to be performed when failures occur on CPU o
modules.
NEC Express5800/ft series manages the MTBF (mean time between fai

r Restart" ....................... If a failure occurs, the module is stopped regardless of the M

lways Restart"..................... If a failure occurs, the module is restarted regardless of the MTBF.

he default setting is "Use Threshold".
IMPORTANT
By clearing the MTBF, you can forcefully enable the component which has been
disabled because the MTBF value became lower than the threshold. Contact your
maintenance personnel if you want to enable the component forcefully.
If you set "Always Restart" for the MTBF type, the module may continue restarting
when a failure occurs. It is recommended to set "Use Threshold" for the MTBF type.
The module will be stopped automatically when it fails to restart repeatedly.
When the module is replaced, the MTBF type returns to the default setting "Use
Threshold".
