Software Update

US110 accesses to the download server through the network and obtains the software of latest
version to upgrade or install the operating system and/or software.
Software Update via Network
Store the update file for US110 software in the FTP or HTTP server. The update file for operating
system of US110 is named as "NK.nb0". For application files, store the application-specific installer
files (.cab). In addition, store the file "list.txt" that describes files to be obtained by US110.
On the Control Panel of US110, specify the IP address of FTP/HTTP server, folder name, and
whether to perform automatically or not.
The time required for update depends on network load. For updating OS of US110 requires 3 to 5
minutes. Certain application program may require reboot of US110 during update.
Preparation for Update
Setup of FTP/HTTP Server
Prepare the FTP or HTTP server that US110 uses to obtain the software of upgrade version.

Prepare an FTP or HTTP server.

To allow access with anonymous in FTP server, enable it.
3.
Check the type of files that can be downloaded from HTTP server.
By the default setting of IIS of Windows Server 2003, a file having extension of [nb0]
cannot be downloaded. You need to check "MIME type" on IIS Manager. The US110 can
accept [NK.nb0], [.cab], [.txt], [.cer], [.pvk], [.p12], and [.bmp].
4.
Create a new folder for US110 in FTP and HTTP server.
Ex.) To create a folder "US110UPDATE" for US110 in the default path of IIS.

HTTP:C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\US110UPDATE

Store the update file in the folder you have created.
The update file for operating system of US110 is named as "NK.nb0". For application
files, store the application-specific installer files (.cab).
6.
Store the file "list.txt" in the same folder.
Create a list describing names of files to be updated in text format (UNICODE), names it
as "list.txt", and stores it in the same directory as the files to be updated.
