Step 5: Connect and Configure Options

When there are optional PCI boards or peripheral devices to connect to the main unit, power off the
main unit. Then, for connecting them, follow the instructions in "PCI board" in the separate volume
of the User's Guide and the manual of the devices.
Make dual configuration when you added LAN and disks. For details, see "Step 7 Set Duplex LAN
Configuration" and "Step 8 Set Dual Disk Configuration".

Step 6: Update Software

If you use ftServer Control Software UPDATE Disc (CD-ROM or DVD-ROM), refer to the
installation procedure enclosed in the UPDATE Disc to apply the update. When there are other
update modules, apply them in this step.
IMPORTANT:
Because the display name of the LAN card on the device manager has
been initialized when doing the update of ft Server Control Software in
the condition which set a LAN in the duplication, the name of the team
has been deleted from the display name of the LAN card. There is not a
problem in case of use, but when wanting to return to original, cancel and
create a team once more.
When you update ftServer Control Software in the state of non-activating
the LAN port which is not used, the LAN port is activated after updating.
Do the operation of non-activation again.
