$. PREPARATION BEFORE OPERATION

1. Lubrioation

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

1) Lubricating oil to oiling tank
™ Fll the olng tank wth New Defrx Ol No. up to the level ndcated by "MAX" 1 .
2) Adjusting the lubrication for the sewing hook
™ Adjust the amount of ol suppled to the sewng hook by loosenng lock nut 2 and turnng ol amount
adjustng screw 3 .
™ Amount of suppled ol s reduced when turnng the screws 3 clockwse.
™ Fx the screw wth lock nut 2 after adjustng the lubrcaton for the sewng hook.
™ When you frst operate your sewng machne after set-up or after an extended perod of dsuse,
remove the bobbn case and apply a few drops of ol to the hook race. In addton, apply a few drops
ol from olng hole 5 n hook drvng shaft front metal 4 to soak the nsde felt n ol.
2. Inserting the needle

Hold needle wth ts recessed part facng toward the operator sde
A, nsert the needle fully nto the needle clampng hole, and tghten
needle setscrew 1 . Use a DPx5-(#J, #4J).
When attaching the needle, turn OFF the power to the
motor.
