8. Winding bobbin thread
(1) Winding the bobbin
1) Set the bobbin.
Ft a bobbn fully onto the bobbn wnder shaft.
Take the thread from the spool and pass t
through the gudes n the numercal order as
shown in the figure, and wind the end of the
thread several tmes around the bobbn. Then
push the bobbn wnder trp latch 1 n the
drecton of the arrow mark.
2) Set the mode to the bobbin winding mode.
Press WINDER key 6
or sewng status to enter the bobbn wndng
mode, and bobbn wndng screen C s dsplayed.
3) Start bobbin winding.
Depress the rght-hand sde pedal, and the
sewng machne rotates and starts wndng
bobbn thread.
4) Stop the sewing machine.
Once the bobbn s wound wth the predetermned
amount of thread, bobbn thread gude 1 s
released. Press WINDER key 6
the rght-hand sde pedal to stop the sewng
machne. Then remove the bobbn and cut bobbn
thread wth thread trmmer retanng plate 4 .
• Press WINDER key 6
machne stops and returns to the normal mode.
• Depress the rght-hand sde pedal and the
sewng machne stops whle the bobbn thread
wndng mode stays as t s. Use ths way when
wndng bobbn thread around plural bobbns.
(2) Adjusting the amount to be wound
on a bobbin
To adjust the wndng amount of the bobbn
thread, loosen the setscrew 2 and move the
bobbn wnder adjustng plate 3 to the drecton
of A or B. Then, tghten the setscrew 2 .
To the drecton of A : Decrease
To the drecton of B : Increase
