9. Using the counter
(1) Setting procedure of the counter value
1) Call counter setting screen.
Press COUNTER key 9

settng s possble. Settng of the counter value
can be performed only wth the nput mode (back-
lght of LCD dsplay 1 s blue). In case of the
sewng mode (back-lght of LCD dsplay 1 s
green), press READY key 2
to the nput mode.
2) Selection of kinds of counters
Press ITEM SELECTION key !0

and select the counter you desre from among the
knds of counters below.
3) Change of counter set value
Press ITEM SELECTION key !0
CHANGE key !1
4) Change of existing counter value
Press ITEM SELECTION key !0
Press RESET key !1
In addton, t s possble to edt the numercal value wth DATA CHANGE key !1
(2) Kind of counter
1 Sewing UP counter
Every tme the sewng of one shape s performed, the exstng value s counted up.
When the exstng value s equal to the set value, count-up screen s dsplayed.
2 Sewing DOWN counter
Every tme the sewng of one shape s performed, the exstng value s counted down.
When the exstng value s reached to "0", count-up screen s dsplayed.
3 No. of pcs. UP counter
Every tme one cycle or one contnuous sttchng s performed, the exstng value s counted up.
When the exstng value s equal to the set value, count-up screen s dsplayed.
4 No. of pcs. DOWN counter
Every tme one cycle or one contnuous sttchng s performed, the exstng value s counted
down. When the exstng value s reached to "0", count-up screen s dsplayed.
5 Counter not used
(3) Count-up releasing procedure
When count-up condton s reached durng
sewng work, the whole count-up screen E
flashes on and off. Press RESET key 3
reset the counter, and the mode returns to the
sewng mode. Then the counter starts countng
agan.
