5-2. Explanation of the operation panel

When this switch is pressed, flashing stops and the contents of setting are determined.
The machne enters the sewng mode under whch t can start. When the materal to be sewn s already
placed on the machne under the Automatc mode, E333 wll appear on the operaton panel. In ths case,
the machne s unable to enter the sewng mode. If the curve sensor s set effectve, the same phenom-
enon occurs when the materal s already placed on the machne (E334). If E334 s dsplayed, check
firstly the neighboring area of the sensor whether the material has been placed on the machine. (The
same phenomenon occurs when dust settles on the sensor. Check the neghborng area of the sensor
for dust.)
If the power to the machine is turned off before having taken the aforementioned procedure, the data
changed will not be stored in memory.

When this switch is pressed, changeable positions flash on and off.
By pressing the switch, flashing position shifts in the right direction.
Starting the machine is prohibited while the switch lamp is flashing on and off (setting mode). The opera-
tion level can be changed by keeping this switch held pressed for five seconds.
